As established in HB 49, all schools must comply with section 3301.164 of the Ohio Revised Code which states:
“Each chartered nonpublic school shall publish on the school’s website both of the following: the number of students in the school by the last day of October of the current school year; The school’s policy regarding background checks for teaching and nonteaching employees and for volunteers who have direct contact with students.”
Enrollment Information:
Blessed Sacrament School has 144 students enrolled in Grade K through Grade 8 as of January 1, 2022.
Background Checks:
As stated in Diocesan policy 4110.0: All paid staff must have on file both BCI and FBI background checks and must attend “Protecting God’s Children.”
All volunteers must have on file a BCI background check and must attend “Protecting God’s Children” no matter how much or how little contact they have with children or youth, no matter if volunteering for the school or parish, and no matter what time of the day or night they volunteer.
